Understand the contact format
An external sit-on trainer remains outside the body and may be used through clothing. An insertable device is placed inside the body according to its own instructions. Preparation, cleaning and suitability can therefore differ.
Format describes how the product contacts the body. It does not by itself reveal whether the product measures activity, guides technique or has evidence for a claimed outcome.
Separate feedback from sensation
NIDDK describes biofeedback as an aid a healthcare professional may use when someone needs help learning the correct movement. That is different from feeling vibration or mechanical movement.
Ask what sensor is present, what variable it detects and whether the result is understandable and validated. An electronic product is not necessarily a measurement tool.
