First, separate the symptom from the proposed solution

Erectile dysfunction can involve blood vessels, nerves, hormones, medicines, emotional factors and other health conditions. A change in erections therefore deserves a conversation about possible causes, rather than an automatic assumption that the pelvic floor is weak.

At an appointment, describe what has changed and what you hope to improve. Asking “Could pelvic floor training be relevant in my case?” leaves room for a useful answer. Asking only which exercise is strongest can skip that important first step.

What did a clinical trial actually test?

A 2004 randomized trial enrolled 55 men with erectile dysfunction. The intervention combined pelvic floor exercises, manometric biofeedback and lifestyle advice; the comparison group initially received lifestyle advice alone. At three months, the intervention group improved more on the erectile-function measure.

This was a small study of a combined program. It did not test HOSFU, an unsupervised app routine, or vibration alone. The result supports discussing pelvic floor training as an option; it cannot tell an individual buyer how much improvement a particular consumer device will produce.

Read a product claim with three questions

  1. What was tested? Look for the actual intervention and device, if any.
  2. Who took part? A study in one patient group may not answer your own question.
  3. What changed? A session score, pressure reading and clinical symptom measure are different outcomes.

Keep these questions beside you when comparing products. A reference to pelvic floor research is useful context, but the presence of a citation does not establish that the product itself was evaluated.

Where can HOSFU fit?

HOSFU Gen 4 offers app-connected Professional Mode for active training with pressure feedback. Quick Comfort is a separate warmth and vibration session without active contractions. These functions should not be treated as interchangeable.

If a clinician recommends pelvic floor practice and you want an external, seated format, you can compare that setup with other ways of following the plan. The practical decision is whether it fits your routine and preferences. The clinical study above does not establish HOSFU as a treatment for erectile dysfunction.

Bring a short question list to your appointment

Write down the answers in your own words. If you use an app, keep the training record separate from notes about symptoms and follow-up. You should not have to turn every intimate experience into a performance test.

The HOSFU app walkthrough shows the training experience. Use it to understand the product, while making decisions about erectile symptoms with a healthcare professional.

  • Which possible causes should we assess?
  • Is pelvic floor training appropriate for me?
  • How should I learn the movement and decide on a practice schedule?
  • When should we review symptoms and reconsider the plan?
